Helping schools and colleges build confident, future-ready students.

Tools for Tomorrow supports existing careers provision with practical, activity-based programmes that build confidence, employability skills and the behaviours students need to prepare for further education, training and work.

Designed to complement, not compete with, your careers provision.

We work alongside your careers team to give students more opportunities to practise the skills they’re already being encouraged to develop.

Rather than adding another one-off talk, our programmes create structured opportunities for students to speak up, work with others, understand their strengths, practise professional behaviours and build confidence through doing.

Aligned with the frameworks you’re already using.

Supporting schools to work towards the Gatsby Benchmarks

Depending on programme design and delivery, Tools for Tomorrow can support schools’ progress towards Benchmarks 3, 5 and 6, with additional alignment possible where programmes involve further or higher education providers.

Aligned to the Skills Builder Universal Framework 2.0

Rather than teaching essential skills in isolation, our workshops give students structured opportunities to use them in practice - through discussion, challenge, teamwork, reflection and real-world scenarios. Activities can be mapped against relevant Skills Builder skill steps to support schools’ existing skills provision and progression.

Programmes designed around the challenges students are actually facing.

From speaking up in class to preparing for work - our programmes give students practical opportunities to build confidence, practise essential skills and better understand what they bring.

Helps students recognise their strengths, understand what makes them valuable and talk about themselves with more confidence - useful for subject choices, applications, interviews and future planning.

Builds confidence in speaking up, sharing ideas and communicating clearly with others, through practical challenges and real opportunities to practise in the room. Particularly helpful for students preparing for interviews, presentations and assessment centres.

Supports students to build resilience, manage self-doubt, respond to setbacks and develop the confidence to take opportunities, ask for help and keep going when things feel difficult.

Shows students that leadership is about more than being in charge. They practise teamwork, influence, decision-making and stepping forward when it matters.

Programmes can be delivered as standalone workshops or combined into a progressive programme across year groups.

But does it actually ‍work?

91% of students said they felt more confident in how to prepare for work.

94% of staff cited noticeable behavioural changes in students after a workshop.

88% of students improved self-assessed confidence in more than one skill area.

“The networking activity was so useful. I have never done something like this in school. I already feel more confident about getting a job.”
